Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand are out of England's World Cup qualifier in Poland on Tuesday with injury and illness respectively.
Both missed Friday's win over San Marino with the same ailments and it was decided not to risk them.
Roy Hodgson's squad fly out to Warsaw on Monday morning.
Arsenal's Theo Walcott has already been ruled out with a chest injury sustained in Friday's 5-0 victory but skipper Steven Gerrard returns from suspension.
The decision on Lampard and Bertrand was made after the squad assembled at England's training camp in Watford on Sunday.
Lampard, 34, who has won 93 caps, is still hampered by a calf problem.
Stamford Bridge team-mate Bertrand, 23, who made his England debut in August, has been troubled by a virus.
England are top of Group H after taking seven points from their opening three matches.
Poland, who are currently third after drawing with Montenegro and beating Moldova, are likely to be without captain Jakub Blaszczykowski and Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Defender Lukasz Piszczek and midfielder Eugen Polanski are also doubtful as Poland seek their first victory over England since their only competitive success in 1973.
The team warmed up for Tuesday's game with a 1-0 friendly win over South Africa in Warsaw on Friday, defender Marcin Komorowski scoring a late winner.
Coach Waldemar Fornalik, who took charge after the Euro 2012 campaign when the team failed to qualify for the quarter-finals, said: "We didn't play badly. We showed we are a team. We created a lot of scoring chances, although it was too bad we only took one of them."
